Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Adoption Pathway Consulting ("APC", "we") collects when you use our website and funding plan, how it is used, and who processes it for us.
What you share with us
- Funding plan answers. When you build a funding plan you answer questions about your adoption (type, stage, state, costs, payments, savings, income and optional details such as faith preferences, employer benefits or agency). These answers are stored under a reference number. If you choose to enter an optional family name, it is stored with your answers and shown in the title of your strategy; if you buy a strategy, your answers are linked to your purchase record and the email address you used at checkout. If you later update your strategy, each update keeps the answers you submitted as a separate saved version so that your earlier strategy stays exactly as it was; you can ask us to delete all of them.
- Feedback and issue reports. If you tell us whether your strategy was useful, or report that a program has changed, we store what you choose to write, the version of the report it was about and your adoption stage. A report is for our review only; it does not change your plan or our funding database automatically.
- Purchase details. If you buy a Full Funding Strategy, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares your email address and the payment status with us.
- Messages. If you use the contact form, your name, email and message are delivered to us by email through the Web3Forms form service.
How we use it
- To calculate your funding preview and, if you purchase, to build your Full Funding Strategy.
- To confirm your payment and deliver your strategy through a private link.
- To answer your messages.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your answers for advertising.
Service providers
- Google Firebase stores funding plan answers, your optional family name, purchase records, feedback, issue reports and our anonymous product-usage events.
- Resend delivers email when you ask us to send or recover your private strategy link (this feature is used only once switched on). It receives your email address and the link.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Netlify hosts the website and runs the calculations.
- Web3Forms delivers contact-form messages.
- Google Fonts serves the website's fonts, so your browser connects to Google when pages load.
Your strategy link
Your Full Funding Strategy opens through a private link. Anyone with that link can view the strategy, so please keep it private.
Analytics
We count how people move through the site so we can fix what confuses them, using our own database rather than a third-party analytics service. An event records only the step reached (for example "intake review viewed" or "research section opened"), a few coarse labels such as the section name or program, the report version, your device type (phone, tablet or desktop) and a random per-visit code. It never includes your name, email address, answers, dollar amounts, free-text messages, your private strategy link or any payment identifier, and we do not record sessions or keystrokes. Because these events are not linked to you, they cannot be looked up or deleted individually. If we add a third-party analytics service, we will update this page first.
Choices and requests
To ask what we hold about you, or to have your funding plan answers deleted, email fikadu@adoptionpathwayconsulting.com from the address you used at checkout. On request we delete your funding plan answers, your family name, your strategy and its earlier versions, and your feedback and issue reports, and your private link stops working. We keep your strategy, answers and purchase record until you ask us to delete them. We may need to keep payment records where the law requires it.
Children
This site is for adults planning an adoption. Please do not enter a child's name or medical records.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
